Thank you very much, I just tried this and got the cruise indicator to flash so I assume my bike is set up for this and I will try it the next time I am out.

08’s may be cooler than 07’s but I can assure you my 08 SG is a hell of a lot hotter than my 03 RK was. I took a ride down Key West’s Duval Street last night and swore it would be the last time before I found a solution. If this doesn’t work I’ll have to try heat shields.

Keep in mind that EITMS only works at idle. Once you blip the throttle a bit that rear cylinder kicks back in. It's really not doing much at all except at idle. You might want to look at richening up your AFR's with a PCIII or something.

My O8 Ultra is running no cooler than my 07 Heritage was. Even after I put new pipes, SE AC and SERT on the Heritage. Not going to go around that block again. Was on a charity ride here in South Florida yesterday and it got pretty warm in traffic. Ordered RJ Heat Deflectors last week.

Not doubting anyone elses experience, but that's mine. Don't get me wrong I loved my Heritage and I love the Ulta even more, the heat ain't that bad.

I did the same as you with the SERT, but made sure they richened up the AFR. That helped a lot. But the biggest help was the RJs Originals. You will really be pleased with them, especially this summer.

Just curious, whats the change from 07 to 08? Also, when you guys talk about heat can you elaborate? Oil temp, ambient temp around the motor? or like do you feel like You are in heat?

I was under the impression that the reason the 07's ran hot was they had to be set that way to pass emmissions and that once they got out of the factory they could be adjusted to run a bit cooler.
