IPOD headphones for riding?

RE: IPOD headphones for riding?
+1 on the JVC. Great sound for the price.
I recently won a set of Bose ear buds at a trade show and they sound amazing. I looked them up and saw that retail is about $100. They reproduce bass much better on the bike in the face of 70+ mph winds. I was going to sell them, but they sound too good to pass up.

This may be a silly question but isn't it against the law to ride with earphones?

Depends on the state. In California, you can ride with one ear plug only. Check out this site

Interesting site, thanks...I didn't know that there was no law prohibiting lane splitting in Ohio.

Back when I rode a Fatboy I did this: http://www.headwize.com/projects/cmoy4_prj.htm. Works great! I still use them on long trips on the StreetGlide.

I use Shure E3C in-ear noise-isolating monitors. They're not cheap, but they do a great job of sealing out background noise, so that I don't have to crank up the volume, even at highway speeds. I can ride all day (and have put in 16+hour days) without any discomfort or ringing in my ears.
Cheers!

Koss Spark Plugs, about $15/ pair and work really well for me. I use it all the time. I did hear the the Shure were the best, however at those prices I'ld be sure to lose them or wreck them somehow. (like the cheap vs big $$ sunglasses theory)
