Me and the Woman went out to the lake the other day. Good bit of traffic from Boulder City down to the lake turn off. While coasting, at 5 mph or less, the Red Key shaped Alarm light came on. It stayed on only for a moment, 10-15 sec., went off and never saw it again. Abody body have any idea's. 07 FXD.

Normally I would. But, right now I am at work and thought I would see if anybody else had the same issue and what they found out. Also, I will after I get home tonight.

Do you have the security option? That is the light for the security system. I'm not sure why it would come on while riding though.

 

According to the owner's manual SERVICE: A key icon that remains illuminated longer than four seconds indicates that service of the module is required.

I am wondering, is that when you initally turn the key on or is it at anytime? and yes it has the security system. Never had this issue with any of the other HD's I've had. And prior to this incident. I never had it or haven't had it since???

 

I had the flashers keep turning on and took it in,found out it was a sidecar warrning.....Funny thing is I dont have a side car but they replaced the mod and all is good....

 

The light flashes to show the security system is armed. When you turn the ignition switch, the key stays lift for a few seconds and then goes out. It also says not to keep the fob within 3 inches of a cell phone.
