If you're willing to do the remove/install check our www.attitudecustompainting.com for an estimate. He has an online request for painting and I'm sure there are plenty on this forum who have used him.

RE: Price of a two-tone paint job ?
Thanks again for all the responses and PMs. So far, my scoot has a workingair bladder cop seat with a passenger pillion and a backrest, extended reach bars, and a lot of small chrome parts (mirrors, brake levers, cruise, clutch , brake, oil line etc.) like most of us. V&H Oval slip-ons and a stage one with a SERT. Dyno tuned by Sean at American Harley in Ann Arbor, Mi.
My plan is to change to Rinehart slip-ons and chrome custom wheels with wide whitewalls, and the paint below. I may never finish everything )...Tom

I Just had mine done in two-tone. Lots of labor associated with prep. I had over $600 in paint, then the prep labor etc... $1500 is a fair price. Bikes are a pain to paint because of all the angles, from what I am told.
Ever see a guy spend a wad of dough on a high end stereo and top it off with K-Mart speakers? Don't be "that guy" with your paint. The paint is the first thing you see. There is no such thing as "good enuf" in paint... IMHO
Here is my Blue White combo. 1982 Shovehead FLTC
Dupont Sapphire Blue Mettalic and Light Cream Mettalic

Chief....I saw your bike somewhere else on the forum. It sure is an eye-catcher! Beautiful color choices....but how could you go wrong with Blue and White?

RE: Price of a two-tone paint job ?
to quote a local commercial you can,t have it "GOOD AND CHEAP", OR , " CHEAP AND GOOD" , the old adage you get what you pay for, i put my oldest son through a trade scool to learn paint and body work , a paint booth is in the neighborhood of 1-2 million ( epa requirements are constantly getting tougher) if you are "fussy" about the quality, these kind of things are necessary to get a good end result, and somehow the schooling costs figure in to the costs too.

These picswere my last paint idea. Cost me $1200 and I did the R&R. The prices you got seem great to me, i'd go for it. It's no fun tearing them down let alone trying to get them back together without messing up the new paint.
