I think I'm going to go with the standard stainless with clear coat. The Platinum series do look nice but I think they fit better on a bike with a more "modern" look. I have always tried to maintain the classic look that the RKC was design to have. As warmer weather approaches I'll be riding without the fairing which is one of the big reasons for getting the new bars; to give it a more nostalgic look.

But hey, there's nothing wrong with adding more chrome - LOL.

I'm jumping in a little late, but here's my FLSTCI with the classic stainless. I too debated over which to get, and decided that the brighter lines might work better on a custom-style bike than on mine. It really all comes down to what you like, though. There's no right or wrong in these things. Hope the pic helps.

 

Ididn't want to give my opinion cause everyone is different in taste. I agree with Guilty that the stainless is a more classy look on your bike. I have the Platinum but still wonder if I shouldn't have gone with the stainless.
