The Sears Craftsman jack is great. I have used it a lot for the RK. Red one is steel. Yellow is aluminum and double the price. The only benefit is that the aluminum one sits about 1.5" lower than the steel. Not a problem for most cruisers, unless it is severely lowered. Both jacks go on sale about every other month.

lonewatie -- Good idea with the dolly. I'm going to pick one up tonight.

Your picture leads me to believe you do not need the Dyna adapters to rest on the dolly; can you confirm if my eyes are seeing this right?
That is correct, frame adapters only needed for the jack. Once bike is raised, slide the dolly underneath, lower, good to go. By the way, the dolly is adjustable up/down and laterally. I'm really happy with it; i use it when my wife needs to park in the garage, allows me to push the bike nice and snug up against back wall, minimizing risk of near-sighted wife. Don't forget to remove the adapters when bike is back on ground, or you'll be riding down the road with those orange things sticking out from the bottom, not that I've done that before.

Just remember the adage...."You get what you pay for"

I am on my third jack...First was harbor frieght, Bottle Jack leaked after only 3 months, No replacement available in the same size. Second was a sears, 2 Welds broke within a year. I now have had the J&S Jack longer than the other two combined, and could not be more satisfied with it. 3 years, with asolutly no problems, and no scary moments thinking the bike was gonna fall..

With the J&S you don't need frame adapters with a Dyna. I have used my J&S on everything from Sportsters to Ultras.

Sears yellow for $150; Harbor Freight Motorcycle Dolly for $40 - less than $200 total, and lowering bike down onto dolly gives same stability the $350 J&S gives. Simple operation, if dyna owner will need the frame adapters for $25: HD Part #98965-99

Nice setup.

It's only "some" Dynas, I believe. My '96 WG doesn't need the adapters for the Sears jack, but what do I know, lmao???

I have a Sears yellow......worked fine on my Goldwing and my Fatboy.
I used the jack for detailing and oil changes.
The Sears RED jack may not be low enough for Softails unless you
put the bikes on a two-by-four first.
