Trying to find a motorcycle jack......

RE: Trying to find a motorcycle jack......
The Sears Craftsman jack is great. I have used it a lot for the RK. Red one is steel. Yellow is aluminum and double the price. The only benefit is that the aluminum one sits about 1.5" lower than the steel. Not a problem for most cruisers, unless it is severely lowered. Both jacks go on sale about every other month.

lonewatie -- Good idea with the dolly. I'm going to pick one up tonight.
Your picture leads me to believe you do not need the Dyna adapters to rest on the dolly; can you confirm if my eyes are seeing this right?

RE: Trying to find a motorcycle jack......
Just remember the adage...."You get what you pay for"
I am on my third jack...First was harbor frieght, Bottle Jack leaked after only 3 months, No replacement available in the same size. Second was a sears, 2 Welds broke within a year. I now have had the J&S Jack longer than the other two combined, and could not be more satisfied with it. 3 years, with asolutly no problems, and no scary moments thinking the bike was gonna fall..

With the J&S you don't need frame adapters with a Dyna. I have used my J&S on everything from Sportsters to Ultras.

Sears yellow for $150; Harbor Freight Motorcycle Dolly for $40 - less than $200 total, and lowering bike down onto dolly gives same stability the $350 J&S gives. Simple operation, if dyna owner will need the frame adapters for $25: HD Part #98965-99

It's only "some" Dynas, I believe. My '96 WG doesn't need the adapters for the Sears jack, but what do I know, lmao???

I have a Sears yellow......worked fine on my Goldwing and my Fatboy.
I used the jack for detailing and oil changes.
The Sears RED jack may not be low enough for Softails unless you
put the bikes on a two-by-four first.
