does anyone know where i could order cheap transition rx glasses I keep looking at the panopax but they cost over $250
and my new fiancé seems to worry about the bank account rather than " that god damn bike"

Wife's Panoptix and my Wiley X's were about the same. Guess that 's the price ya pay to see.

 

I'd do your research on transistion lens, they eventually wear out and then you've got heavily tinted glasses.

 

Wife's and mine are 2 years old and haven't 'worn out' yet. Will be getting new perscription in July, so I know they will last that long.

 

Sounds like you need to explain to the fiance that you and the bike come as a set. My dealer quoted me almost $300 for the panoptyx. That's why I stayed with regular tinted polarized bifocal glasses.

Tripper - bi-focal polycarbonate transitional lenses are $198 - There's a little bit of savings.....

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any local dealers in the KC area that carried the line - I wanted to try the frames on before ordering. I did email them to see if they have a "Try & Buy" deal - got a response back very quick. Here's what they said"Yes anything you order and you don’t like you can send them back for a full refund" I'm not sure how well that would apply to Rx orders. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of sending frames back and forth mostly due to the TIME factor. I ended up going with Wiley-X. My i-doc just happened to carry that brand and BONUS - my vision plan from work covered most of the cost. I did ask about the transition wearing out over time - that is true as well. The optometrist said it'll prolly last 3 to 4 years. Not going to worry about that either - My vision plan allows me to get an exam & frames every year.
