Magnetic tank map bags ? Who has one?

RE: Magnetic tank map bags ? Who has one?
This isn't a bag but it is a map case. I use something similar for land navigation training. With a little bit of thinking I'm sure you could find a way to keep it on the bike, maybe magnetic strips or velcro strabs on your pouch? I'm in the same boat so I'm looking for ways to configure this. If I get the cash for a GPS, I'll think bout it but I'd always have a map for back up.
You can find a few at www.actiongear.com; www.tacticaltailor.com; or any Surplus store

I use a Nelson Riggs magnetic map pouch. I think it works really well on my FLHT. I don't put the map in the clear area, there's a zippered pouch below it that I keep a map in, for easy retrieval. I like to write out the roads and mileage in big print and place that in the clear top section, that way I can take a glance down to keep on track. Watch out when placing on the tank ,the magnets are very strong... but haven't made any marks so far.

zip ;ock bag and duct tape.....seriously. It is just for a poker run, right?
I also use a GPS...and sometimes the poker run directions do not give you an address.....
just a name of a bar. "Fat Jacks" (used to be called "*******" before it was "Sweeties".)
The GPS has a name of a bar nearby. Me...I always try to find out the stops a day or so before the run. I hate when you are in the middle of a pack of bikes going somewhere. You get stopped at a stop light and then, all of a sudden you are the lead bike and have no idea where you are going. Everybody follows you when the light turns green. You pretend you have to **** at the next 7-11 and twenty five bikes pull in behind you. Sorry.....don't know how a map in a plastic bag will help me here.

I borrowed a couple of paper binder clips from work to see if I could get a regular sheet of paper to stay on my windshield bag. The bag is a bit longer than a sheet of paper, but I figured worse case I could take a bungee cord around it for a cheap way.
I can program my gps, but it does take some time to program inwhen you want to go by the poker run directions, otherwise it comes up with it's own directions. And I've noticed when I use the HD ride planner and I change the route on the online program and then download it, the streets come up as "001, 002" instead of the street names.
I've seen the arm/leg attachments - they have them for the rice rocket outfits. Not sure if I'd want a plastic thing on my arm in the summertime, it gets hot in the valley.
