The top one--its not a Harley. I am all for lane splitting. Has its risk but being caught in stand still traffic with a hotmotor is bad.

In some situations I will ride the shoulder if there is one. If lane splitting is the only option I will turn around. Lane splitting may or may not be safe but I’m not interested in aggravating some cager’s road rage when I’m on two wheels.

ing a bike and sitting in traffic are four words that don't go together. Of course I live in CA as well wehre it is not illegal.

I do it every day here in SoCal, where it's legal. I do it on a bagger.

2001, left the Redwood Run heading to my sisters house in Bay Area. I was following a San Jose "prospect" splitting lanes on the north side of the GG bridge. Traffic was only moving about 5 miles an hour. Watched a lady in a SUV see us in her mirror and jerked the wheel in our path. Her power mirror ended up on her hood when the prospect punched it as he was avoiding hermenouver.

I rode in Ca from '91 - '94 split lanes all the time seen many drivers try to cut you off, you just have to be careful. The thing I miss the most is being able to ride to the front of the lane at a red light and not have to sit behind all the cars!

Have you ever SEEN a Georgia driver?

The only time I've ever done it, and it was on a regular basis, was that Ft. Bragg. 60,000 soldiers all trying to get to Smoke Bomb Hill every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning. Yes, it was illegal but the MPs actually encouraged riders to do it. I never say a single accident in 5 years there. There was one incident when I was following my battalion commander, an LTC promotable, and some dumbass PFC decided to flip his door open. The Private didn't have a whole lot of *** left when thebig guy got done.

I LANE SHARE everyday on a 75 mile commute with about 70 miles of that between cars. To me, I find it insane that it is illegal.

If you live in a state where it is illegal, for the love of GOD!!! PLEASE do something about it.
