When I bought my Bob I also purchased the 3 year agreement. I would have gone for more but it was a financial decision. The reason I chose to include the extended warranty is that it covers tire and wheel damage. West Virginia is known for potholes in the road and one big smack causing rim damage will almost pay for the whole warranty.

 

I've never purchased an extended warrenty on anything. At this point in my life I'm so far ahead by not paying the cost up front that I could throw a few things away and still be ahead. Anytime a dealer tries to bring the extended warrenty up I tell the the deals off if you delay me with that BS.

i just couldn't do it. harleys regular warranty is a joke. the extended is juat as bad. i planned on either making mine fast and changing all that i could to make it mine anyways. not to mention the fact that i ride like a complete azzhole and will total it long before i ever had the chance to use an extended warranty.

 

I purchased the Ext. warranty with my new Bike.

Not a chance. I don't buy extended warranties on anything since most of the time it's a total waste of money, and that fact has been proven over and over again. But hey, if it makes you feel better contributing more profit to the dealer's bottom line then go for it.

I bought the extended with the added tire protection. so far it has paid for itself just in tires. I would buy it again with the amount of riding that I do, 25000 miles in 1 and a half years.

Like I said above, I only paid $639.00 for the ESP on my "03 Ultraand my bike was covered until 07/27/09. The ESP has lost money on me. I'm thousands of dollars ahead in repair costs.

ESP hasworked out great so far for me on the Ultra.
My other bike a "97 Heritage Springer, I didn't buy the ESP,
and it has worked out great for the ESP,
because it hasn't had to pay torwards any repairs,
with total cost in the thousands of dollars.
But then again, I ride my bikes many miles including long distance rides.

As always, Weigh it out for yourself and decide!
But;
Beware of the Higher Cost of the Lower Price!

I agree. Unless you stay STOCK, you will be in fer a fight. How many of us leave a Harley, or even our truck STOCK???

Make some performance mods, andthe warranty isDEFINITELY worthless. Even with most of that "Squawkin' Chicken" crap! [:@]

Save yer $, if ya can't afford ta fix a broken Harley, buy something else...

Design and build it CORRECTLY, and it'll last forever. Talk to a LOT of builders and then pick the one ya like the best.
