FOB Batterys

RE: FOB Batterys
My FOB battery was 4 years old when I was at the Billings, Montana national HOG rally. I set my security that night and the next morning the fob battery was too weak to take the security off. I had never set the manual personal security code. I was in a panic. Finally, after about 15 minutes I must have gotten the fob in just the right place and the security was released. I rode to the dealer and got a new battery installed. I still haven't set the personal code using the turn signals but I know I should. I just had to buy a new fob because the top broke off where it went on my key ring. The guy at the dealer set it up for me. But he said you could only have two fobs for the bike and now the original one now no longer works. Anyway...if your battery is 4 years old and you use it to set the security, either get a new batter and/or set up your personal code with the turn signals. I will set my personal code sometime when I get the time.
