Anyone put on an oil cooler?

RE: Anyone put on an oil cooler?
Only reason I put the chrome cover on was to try to protect the fins on the cooler. True, it looks good, but with the cooler being in front of the motor I worried about it taking a hit from rocks or other road trash and splitting while I'm riding, so I put the cover on.

Called the stealer and they told me to use RTV clear silicone. Worked great. Had to find a 7/16" hex head socket to tighten the new oil filter adapter. None of the hardware or autoparts stores around here stock that size, so I borrowed one from the guy that works on my car and then I special ordered one in case I ever have to work on it again.

Glad you got the cover attached. Feels good, huh?

You just use a good silicone made for engine work,I'd use the black color so it doesn't show.
As far as the 7/16 allen wrench I used a short 1/4"bolt with 3 or 4 nuts on it and inserted that int a short socket and used that as an allen wrench. Worked perfect.
