Don't remember if it was a 77 or 78, but learned to ride in 1985 on a CB550F.
I was caught off guard at the motorcycle museum at Sturgis last summer. My learner bike is a museum piece.

I learned on a late 60's (I think) Yamaha 80 street bike. I was 15 years old. Searched for a pic, but couldn't find one.

Can't find pics, but (inorder).............. Honda 50, Honda XR80, Yamaha YZ100. I loved those bikes.

I learned to ride on a 1990 Honda VTR Interceptor 250 (though it amuses me greatly that Honda had the ***** to name the bike "Interceptor" when it was only a 250).
I rode this bike EVERYWHERE including highways for 2 years. I got it when I was 17 and had to fight my mom tooth and nail to get it.

175 CC Kawasaki Bushwacker, it was a street and dirt bike back in 69.

My buddy across the street taught me how to ride his 125cc AMF H-D. I had ridden mini-bikes before that, but this was the first actual motorcycle with a clutch, shifter, etc. I was 14.
