I think women are more interested in the idea of a "biker" than the actual biker him(or her)self.

 

I aked my wife about this thread and that is more or less what she said.

 

Don't fool yourselves. Riding aHarley lost it's "bad boy" image years ago. Crotch-rockets are where it's at for chicks. Those guys swim in it and it's young stuff too. Not like the skanks you see at most bike-nights.

 

You see a cute woman and wonder if she likes 'bikers'?
First you say "What do I have to lose?"....then you walk up to her
and say "Do you like BIKERS?" If she says "YES"...then you say.......
"ME TOO! Mind if I wait with you and see if any show up?"

 

Those "skanks" were once young hot chicks.

I don't care if I have the "bad boy" image anyway. The imagenow seems to be more about "money" than anythingelse.

I get tons of comments from strangers that end with "If I had more money, I'd own own of those too." In the old days, I'd have sacrificed dinner to buy gas for my bike. Now I can afford both with no problem. Still enjoy the ride just the same, but the level of sacrifice I once had to endure for my riding pleasure is no longer the case.

BTW, I had many crotch rockets, and I loved them, I did not however miss riding them like I do my Dyna right now. C'mon springtime.

 

Well I guess at some point I'm going to test the waters after my divorce. Wife told me today she wants to go find herself and throw away 22yrs of marriage. We never had a major arguement, I never saw it coming!

Sorry to hear that. Maybe you should try seeing a counselor and find out why she feels that way. Lots of people have that happen. It's how they both react to it that determines the outcome. My wife and I have had some rocky times but we did go to counseling and realized we both care deeply for one another so we got back on track. The thought of splitting up was too much for both of us. So things can change no matter how bad they might seem. Maybe she hasn't been able to tell you how she feels about herself. That kind of thing usually has a lot to do with it.

I think a guy with a Harley, does get attention...No question about that. You can hear it coming for blocks! It turns heads and demands attention...and people look. Now, whether or not the goomer can keep the attention might have more to do with his demeanor .... or the fly crap stuck between his teeth...It's hard to say.

 

When my wife is in the car andpasses me on my Road King comin home from work it has always beenhot sex that night. She says my Suzuki does nothing for her - nothing at all -but the Harley makes her hot. She hated it when I put the Road King up for sale. She doesn't know about my new Dyna yet (she's been out of town and gets home tomorrow) but I hope it has the same effect on her as the Road King. Yes it's a gimmick, but if her in the Victoria's Secret stuff makes me hot what's wrong with me on a bike making her hot?
