A chew of tobacco taped on top of the sting works. I learned that from my dad and it works.

The "peeing on it" trick also works. Explaining your action to passers by might be a little challenging though. =)

Baking soda and water - Make a paste with the baking soda and rub it on the sting. Sounds strange but it works. Learned it from my Grandma! (God rest her soul).
