50 miles is a good run in those temps, particularly at highway speeds. I got out for a couple of chilly, but enjoyable hours on Sunday, and have been riding to work all this week. Mornings are pretty brisk, but the afternoon ride home is fine. Most of my co-workers think I'm nuts, but then again most of them don't ride either. I look forward to being able to go with rides with my son. That's gotta be sweet.

 

Rode a little under 200 miles today in central Texas. Beautiful day in the 70s but with the wind chill I did find it necessary to put on my fingerless gloves.

 

Put on 73 miles today in East Texas to go get a diet Mountain Dew. Temps in the high 60s.

BTW, us Southerners can rub it in now, but,you Northern boys just wait till July & August when it's 100 degrees and 100% humidity down here, then you can gloat a bit.

 

First time out here in NW Illinois, 54 degrees, rode a quick 43 miles with the new lowers on. Seems they work pretty well. Really felt good to get out but had to call it short due to dinner at home.

 

Did about 60 miles myself last week, temp hit 45! I'll be putting a few miles on Saturday, the warmer it is, the longer I'll ride.
