Planning a trip
I am planning a trip to visit my friend in Sarasota,FL I am will be riding out of NY around month of May. I will be either trailoring or riding it out with my wife who will be riding her own motorcycle. If am going to be riding it, I would take anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks off and hitting the key spots along the way or on the way back to NY. I would ride on day and stop for one day to explore some states. I was thinking taking 3 or 4 days to sight see and ride in. Can anyone tell me which states and roads in the state that will be a great place to ride in so I can plan accordingly. Thank you.

RE: Planning a trip
If it is not too far out of your way try going down the Blue Ridge Parkway
I'm sure that you can get on it somewhere around New York you'll end up at Cherokee North Carolina. I would not stop by the casino in Cherokee though it's just a waste of time and money.

Great places to visit in NY: Fingerlakes and wine country (sometimes referred to as 'Leatherstocking Region', Thousand Islands area of St. Lawrence, Adirondack Mtns. and Lake George, Catskill Mtn. area. Many, many other places I can't think of now. Check out a AAA travel book for more. Excellent area to ride in during the summer.
