Default No License no Bike. Is this True?

Heard a rumor that beginning in July of this year that you can't purchase a motorcycle without proof of a motorcyle endorsement. I'll assume this applies to new bikes only from dealers as there would be no way to track used transactions from individuals? Can anyone verify this rumor? Do you need to show proof at registration?

In Louisiana, you have 30 days to obtain the endorsement. Progressive Insurance will not continue your initial, temporarycoverage without proof of the endorsement. Your profile lists that you reside in Florida; I'm not familiar with the Florida situation.

Sure they can track used!!! You have to get the title in your name correct? And when you show up at the title deptment and they ask for your license and there is no motorcycle endorsment they say sorry sir we cannot put this in your name.

My opinion is that everyone after such and such date! Say 1985 would be required to take a Motorcycle saftey coarse. May save some lives. Ohio does not do this and i am not sure who does. I took the coarse cpl years ago threw the state at a local JVS school for $25 bucks same coarse that everyone else charges $200 or $300 for and the guy that instructed the coarse is the same guy was doing some for harley dealer. It was a good coarse and its a quick and easy way to get your license and for novice riders or beginners to learn a cpl things. And an old dog to get refreshed on some things

That is how Ohio is with there boating laws my son had to take a boating saftey coarse before he could legally drive the boat.

How are you supposed to get a motorcycle endorsement on your license without a bike?

I would think this to be a state issue but I don't think it would be fair.
Doesit apply to all bikes, (dirt bikes too)?
Does the same rule apply to cars,I'd bet there are people withoutendorsement whoownlimousinesand have achauffeur drive them around.
Would the owner of a trucking company be required to have an endorsement?
What about planes, does the owner have to be a pilot?

In Illinois I had License platesand title to a bike I bought when I was 14 (legal driving age was 16), everything in my name.

Rider's Edge course at the Harley dealer. They provide the bikes and give you a certificate, upon graduation, to take to your DMV office for your endorsement.
