Default Sunpass/EZpass users need info

I just got a Sunpass unit for paying the tolls on Florida's toll roads. My question is where to put in on my Wideglide. I was thinking of putting it in my fork bag and seeing if it reads it but im not sure if it will work and I dont want to find out the hard way. Anybody here use an automated toll transponder on their scoots? If you do, where do you put it? Thanks in advance.

My dad uses it in the semi and some can't pick it up and since it is registered that he has it all they do is add it on to the bill.

I keep it in my top pocket of my jacket. Seems to work all the time.

It does work in the fork bag. A friend of mine took an old helmet cut out a square out of the foam and mounted it there and i worked.

I picked up one of these brackets for my EZ Pass taht boltes to the bottom of the mirror stem. Not the most beautiful and I'm sure if you have a little time and talent, you could fabricate one yourself. For the few bucks this one cost me, it was worth buying it and bolting it up.

Forkbag will work. So will jacket pocket. Back pocket too! I promise!

Even if it don't... FDOT will read your tag via camera and deduct the toll from your Sunpass. It is called an e-toll.

I've been using Sunpass daily for years. I get 3-4 misreads a month. I'm still not behind bars or have any tickets.

Just spoke with the Sunpass office about this the other day. If you have a Sunpass account, make sure you call them and give them your licence plate number for you bike. They advised putting the Sunpass in you jacket pocket if you do not have a windshield. I am pretty sure it will also work in your fork bag. Just be sure to have the side that normally faces the windshield in a car face forward or upward in your fork bag.

Thanks for the input. I will throw it in my forkbag tonight and see if it works when I get on the Suncoast parkwaytomarrow morning.

Just reach in your pocket, pull it out and hold up in the air. That is overkill but will surely work every time. Or you could just leave it in your pocket, it will still read.

Got mine in one of them small plastic coin bags---keep it in my tank pouch. Flip open the top flap on the tank pouch and ease it about halfway out. Works everytime.
