does anyone know if stock brake rotors have clear coat on them? my brother was so happy with the results from polishing his forks he wants to do the same to his rotors... i have powdercoated them before, but always media blasted them... i did not know if they have a clear coat... do they?

 

You cant coat the braking contact surface. Too much heat. It would just burn off and cause big problems.

I know not to hit the contact points...i was more concerned with the center of the rotor.. i did mine in black... he wants to polish his to chrome
