Need help deciding a bike!

RE: Need help deciding a bike!
alright. given the responses here, id want something with a lower seat since I will be stopping quite often and all the lights and stuff.
Im not a big guy, im 147 lbs. skinny but toned. and only 5'9... Im really liking the look of the fat bob, alot. only thing is, I want a bike that fits my personality and physicality and needs. The fat bob has my name written all over it, only problem is im not that big a guy. Be honest.. I would look completely out of proportion on that bike. Arnold Drove a fat boy in terminator, which is pretty similar.. and im no Olympian. Plus it probobly has too much height on the seat. It looks like I need something I can plant my feet down on. And that looks like a dyna low rider as of right now.
The dyna lowrider is lookin like it fits pretty darn well. the low seat will let me stop with greater ease. it already has alot of the chrome I like, comes with a 2 person seat, doesnt have huge handlebars or anything.. yup. I would like to do some customizing as well. who wouldnt
any comments?

Whatever floats your boat to start with, because your tastes will probably change.I started out on 1920's and 1930's Harleys and worked my way to the TwinCams.

I've had a couple of Old Wings, a couple of Brit bikes, ridden everything from CBR XX's to V-Max's and V-Rodsand even tried a Road King a few times...I've got a Dyna and it's the best all-round one street bike solution for me. I'm 5'10" and 180 and have no trouble in the city as far as seat height. The wife and I did four two-up tours last summer, spending up to a week on the bike (We "camp" at motels) Depends on what you want from the bike, or if you're even sure...if the Fat Bob blows yer skirt up, don't write it off without a good test ride. The aftermarket and your checkbook can transform a Harley into whatever you want.

I am 5'-6" 185 lbs and started on a Sportster 1200C thinking it was the right fit. Even though the 1200C was a nice fit my confidence got the best of me when pruchasing and Istayed away from thelarger bikes. Iloved it but ended up wanting something bigger/better/fasterand took the financial hit to move on to anon-hd but still american
Moral to my statement is make sure you know what you want. You can ask all kinds of questions here and get knowledgeable answers but you'll never actually know until youtest ridethe heck out of them. Test ride them all, many times and put at least 10 miles on the test run, a cruise around the block will not tell you the whole story.
I do not know your riding experience but if you are a newbie find someone who has an older bike that wouldn't mind letting you learn on so that you have some confidence to test ride.

The heritage classic is a nice bike, my bro-in-law has one and he sits lower stock than I do on my RKC. any of the bikes you list are great thought, so it gets down to whats comfortable to you out of the box.
I thought a Fat Boy was a softtail, though. don't mean to offend any FB riders.
don't discount the Road King - its a bike that fits all of your desires too. I'm 5'10 with 14 inch legs (j/k) and your legs are probably longer than mine. IT is a truly wonderful bike.
