Default Can a M/C have both mid & forward controls?

I have a 2008 Fat Bob and its my first Harley. I have forward controls but I do notice a lack of manuvuerability and a slight lack of control with the forward controls. I hear riders commenting on the pros & cons of mid and forward controls.

Maybe I'm too new to Harleys, but why can't my bike have both???

It seems like regardless of my foot position, I could easily brake and shift no matter my current foot position.

If its not possible that's news to me....

Is is possible?

Never heard of a bike having both. you can have forward controls and mid pegs or mid controls and highway pegs but not both operating.

You could do it but it would take alot of modifications to make it work. to many modifications to make it a profitable venture for the MOCO.

Just have a second set of pegs installed in a location you like for corning and such.

Then use the others for when you need tto change gears and such.

Simple.....except for the fact that the more things you got hanging from your bike, the higher the chance of things scrapin on a turn.

So.......

That too.

What you should do is just get Mid Controls and then add highway pegs for the long trips.

Either way..extra stuff.

I guess from what you say that the best setup for you is the same I adopted: mid controls for urban riding and better bike control, and highway pegs for relaxed riding on long distance, straight road and constant speed.

Give it time. You should be able to controll the bike with no problem useing&nbsp\\;the forewards. It just takes a little time to get used to them.
