Hey everyone hows it going, ive got a 1982 fxwg harley. I'm pretty young so i don't know much about the history of the bike, it is my dads bike but for his birthday i am going to fix it up and make it look real nice since he hasn't been able to do it. Like i said i don't know much about the bike but if anyone knows a little history of the bike please let me know. However, the main reason that i am leaving this message on here is i am looking for a emblem that goes on the front fender it says commemorative addition on it as i understand. Im not having any luck finding one or even finding some information on it. so if someone could help me out i would much appreciate it and im sure that my dad will go crazy if i can find it for him. Thanks

Have you tried contacting someone who specializes in restorations,perhaps they have a source for reproduction emblems?

 

They made a Sturgis Edition that year. I don't know if they made any other speciial editions.

 

Take the VIN off the bike and go to your local dealer. They can tell you if it was a special edition and what type of emblem you need. Good luck on your quest.
