When the snow melts

RE: When the snow melts
Change Oil, Check Tires Give bike a bath. Start riding it to work and maby some day rides. Over easter we are either trailering or riding (if weather permits) down to Centralia, MO to ride.
We have been getting snow flurries today and are expecting an inch tonight and then a week in the 40's then snow next monday I believe. I should be able to get out a little bit since we've had the salt washed off the roads for the most part. Just gotta dodge those holes.

When the snow melts.......we'll enjoy about two weeks of riding and then put em' away again for the winter.

I'm curious what all of you northern riders have planned once the snow melts and the salt is washed off the roads.

just waiting for a good rain now to wash off the roads because the salt and sand is like putting your bike through a sandblaster

That's what beater bikes are for!!!! While the weather around here is still unstable (ie. a high of 9C today...-9C predicted as the high by Friday...) I couldn't resist the urge any longer, and got the plates renewed on my '85 Magna this past weekend. Went for a nice boot yesterday, and even rode to work today. (OK, so it is only 5 kms one way, but still...better than the truck!) Once spring REALLY arrives, and some of the crap and corruption is off the streets, I'll pull out the Fatty. In the meantime I have a pile of stuff in the garage that needs bolting on, to get her ready for spring. The Magna will scratch the itch until then.
