Finally got out today for a short ride. Rain this week especially yesterday washed a lot af snow, sand and salt away and then today high winds cleared the roads pretty well but riding on the highway was very tricky due to very high gusts that would move me sideways a bit. Hopefull this is the end of it and now with daylight savings time here I can start commuting on the scoot again. So far I've ridden at least once a month during the winter and for New England that's rare.

I try to ride when ever i can so this foot of snow screwed that up. It will take atleast a week of warm temps to get this mess under control and melted away and the first nice day that its all off the road and my driveway i will be out for a ride.

Once the winter is gone for good it will be time to ride it like you stole it for about 7 or 8 months.

I will ride hard april and may then have my first long rode trip planned for June to head to York Pa with my dad and two co workers to visit friends that work at the Harley plant and ride in york, gettysburg area for the weekend then head back looking at leaving on a thur back home late on monday.

Do you mean you are curious what we are going to do if the snow melts?

Most of us do not wait for the snow to melt.
We look for a good rain to wash salt off. Then the first few ride no madder how cold, then it warms a few more ride out and with in a couple weeks 80% are on the road. The last 20% wait tillit's 80 and sunshine.
And here in Wisconsin home of HD there are a few that ride all winter even in snow storms with a side car.

I tried riding one of my bikes all year here in Maine, when I was young numb and full of come.It was an exercise in futility.Even tried using rope as a temp tire chain.I guess it does give me bragging rights.

Big storm last night produced 18" blown around with 50mph winds. Thats on top of the 3 1/2 feet on the ground already. I currently have snow banks pushed up in my driveway over 12' high. More snow predicted for this wednesday. Who friggin knows when I will be able to ride. My guess is June..........

I usually start out with some short trips to get my muscles used to the bike again and the old nerves reacting the way they should. I gradually increase the miles until I can do my longer weekend rides. First off, I need to clean it up again and put the battery back in. Hey .... The snow is going to melt ? [sm=happy046.gif]
