Just flip the bike over after you drain it out and use the same hole to refill. Problem solved!

You people that just dump in a certain amount of oil; you do need to take off the derby cover so you can see if the level is correct. It's not that bad to take out 5 screws.

 

I never went with what the manual recommended. After a few changes I now go with the amount I measured.

Corbin sells an inspection cover with built in oil filler. I put one on my 89 flhs. Works great and looks good.
