All my gauges do it. The dealer says it is part of the Harley mystic. Just like my digital oil temp and level dipstick working only some of the time. Its a common fenom.

Got caught in a real down pour about a month ago. Now my oil pressure gauge fogs up occasionally. Tried a hair dryer to dry it up. Oh well, what are you going to do?

Mine too. Didn't check, but I'll bet that most of us are from the southeast or near the coast. Up north, where Harleys are made, they may not see this problem as much of us with high humitity. I have not had a problem here in Louisiana with my newer trucks/cars, but I remember having the same problems with my older cars 50's/60's. Being out in the weather, seems Harley would have sealed gauges.

Speedo has a vent hole in back.. make sure it is not clogged. Also, fogging is more likely to occur after dampness (a bike wash or it rains) and you then park it indoors. Leaving it in the sun will speed up the clearing.

Same here, i mentioned it to the dealer at the first service. His answer was that they could change the speedo but it would only happen again.
