In the past I have taken the box to my local UPS Storeto get the correct price before shipping. This has avoided headaches like yours.
I recomend this to every seller that walks into our UPS store.

I think if he sent the money he agreed on he DID do the right thing and keep his word. What Chris is asking for is charity. Now if the guy is in a charitable mood maybe he will contribute, but theres absolutely no way to fault him for not GIVINGhim extra. Where I come from a deal is a deal. Ranting here about a deal YOU made is not only whining it makes you look kinda silly...

There is a lesson to be learned here but its not the one you are to say it is.

I don't think people are what they used to be - their word isn't worth spit - a handshake doesn't mean anything - the expectation someone is going to do the right thing - forget about it.....lesson learned - move on.

The shipping clerk showed me the difference size makes when shipping. A box with overall dimensions of 130 inches was $38.
A box that measured 131 inches was $88!!! You gotta be real careful when quoting freight prices, best to take it to UPS and let them tell you how much.

IMO. If shipping larger packages, Fed Ex has the best prices. I shipped a full exhaust for $20.00 and it arrived within 5 days. The USPS is great for smaller stuff, but they tack on overweight charges on the bigger stuff.

He did say thanks, when he sent you the money for the pipes.

What more do you want?

A reach-a-round?
My thoughts exacttly.
Get a grip Chris. This post makes you sound like a whiney bitch.
Everyone is entitled to thier opinion. Besides this is an internet forum and peoples oppinions here really have no bearing on my life.

Chris
Sorry man. I can understand, because Ive been burned shipping stuff before also.
But really, sometimes you just gotta suck it up and move on. You should have done that before you started this thread.
