OH YES! It's not really hiding it, it's just not telling her because I don't want to upset the delicate balance of the world!!!

Mine don't care and don't ask. She just says "Lou and his toys"
She has a kitchen the with of the house with all stainless steal aplaiances, a eating room on one side and a reading room with a fire place on the other side of her kitchen in her 4,000 sqft Colonial. No she don't care or ask.

After being married for 27+ years there's no need to lie. Most of the time, she's sittin' next to me when I'm on the net researching my next purchase. Of course, my next purchase could be for her bike too.

Hopeless. Stripperella rides her own Hog, and after years of building bikes with me, she knows what's what, what's good, and what's not. She buys the best, too. Can't pull one over on her.

Sounds like some of the guys here have wives that are into the sport which is a good thing. Not only do I have to hide the amount, it's not an uncommon thing to slam the parts on before she gets home from shopping!!!
I throw all the bags, boxes, and receipts away.....but somehow she always busts me. After I bought my second bike without her consent she broke out the contract and I'm now sworn to purchases under 250 bucks.
Do like I do, just buy the stuff and beg like hell for forgiveness!! A nice dinner and a day at the mall usually does the trick!

Considering we both ride Harleys, and he's always looking for stuff to put on mine... I guess there's no need in this house.

If you feel like you have to hide or lie about the purchases on or for your bike, or any thing else, then you may need to find your self a different significant other. Of course it works both ways, but as long as the item can be covered with discretionary funds then that’s cool.

JefFLH did it right. I actually do not lie to my wife about purchases but I do not ask her permission either. If she asks what something costs, I will tell her but usually she does not ask. I recently bought an 07 FLHRS without telling her in advance. When I came home with it she did seem a little subdued and said "you are planning on selling your other Harley, aren't you". I told her yes, and I am planning on selling it. I do not know yet when I will be selling it. Just sayin'.
