Nope. No getting away with anything in THIS household. We sit with the catalogs and magazines and pick out things together. For both our bikes.

 

That's the way it should be!

 

I know I always talk about car stuff so sorry guys...but I got my Bob to save money. My last drag race engine was a $15,000 598 inch 14 to 1 compression big block Ford.I cant afford stuff like that. I am not rich,just a working dude with a bad habit.

I love my bike...and it keeps me away from my drag car. I can honestly say that I have more cash since I got my bike.

Dont tell anyone though...I am having more fun also.

Oh btw, I learned this from the car stuff...if I buy anything for the bike it is on a need to know basis...and she dont need to know.

 

Chit, I think she hides the stuff from me. She's got more skulls on that Sporty than the local cemetery...[sm=confused06.gif]

My wife typically gets home before I do, and finds the boxes delivered by UPS and FedEX. She cringes when she sees them, figures they are more goodies I've ordered. She only asks what I ordered, and not the price. Her standard comment is "It's a poor house that can't afford one Michael." She's a wonderful woman! She also has her own bike.

I pay the bills when they come in, and she doesn't see them. Otherwise I would be up that proverbial creek without a paddle.

 

This is where my worship at the altar of Dave Ramsey comes in handy. I keep an envelope marked "Bike" and put cash in it on a regular basis. It just paid for my tach install and highway pegs. No credit card or debit card bill, no canceled check, no paper trail at all other than the receipt (which I keep in a secret place, like the envelope.) Soon as it gets to a grand, I'm getting my fuelmaster, air box and pipes!

 

Oh hell yeah I hide the cost. She would use that as an excuse to up her spending and it's already at 2 to 1 in her favor

 

I get the Ebay stuff delivered to work. My wife doesn't ask if she doesn't see the boxes lying at the front door. Since the kids are out the house seems like we both have a couple $$$ for extra toys.
