2 Bikes, What Size Trailer

RE: 2 Bikes, What Size Trailer
You'd be surprized just how small an area you need to load two bikes. LOL
When you want to put some snow behind you, you get determined.
the spare didn't even fit in the box and we brought no plank
Here's a Ford 250 4X4, 8 ft box, with a 1989 Heritage Classic and a 1990 Electra Glide Sport.
NH to Daytona in 24 hours straight shot.
I have a Pace enclosed 6X12 with a drop gate and side door now. Much better.

ORIGINAL: csbreeze
I have a 6 1/2 by 10 which a 6 1/2 by 8 is plenty I just chose the larger because it didnt cost me but a few bucks more. I could use the space if I hauled stuff besides a couple bikes. Oh its an open trailer by the way.

I have to put the WG in diagonally to haul it. I'd guess it's about 8' 4" long overall, m/l.
I also have to add weight to the front of the trailer for the WG. That raked front pushes the engine etc back far enough to take the weight off the tongue. I toss a couple of 60# bags of sand up front. Not so with the Heritage or the Deuce.
My next trailer will be 10' long and will have the wheels/axles a little farther back to put more tongue weight down.
You can cram 2 bikes on a 5' wide trailer but you'll wish you had a 10' x 6'.
hth.
