Here in SoCal they have the stupid lights you have to wait for to get on the freeway, so I am coming home from work, a LONG line of cages waiting to get on the freeway. I go around them (on the shoulder) at about 5MPH. Then I get behind a cage while he is entering the freeway.......at the time I shift to 2nd, I hear sirens and see lights. A SDPD pickup truck went on the dirt on the shoulder and got me...................I have been doing this forever.........I guess i gotta watch it from now on..............oh yeah, the ticket is for 168$!!!!
So all of you Cali riders beware............

 

I'm confused what is the ticket for?? Running the light or driving on the shoulder.

 

You can't lane split in california? Should be the same for the stupid lights at the freeway entrance... it is just another way to get money for the politicians

 

The ticket was for passing on the right and on the shoulder.

Ain't never gots no ticket for that. But have gotten nailed for getting in the right turn lane B4 you get to the white line defining the lane. Luckily, the trooper let me off with a warning. But, DUH, like a dummmmmmm cluck, I still do it once in a while. Specially if the line going straight ahead is REALLY long.

Sounds like a legit ticket to me, you can't pass on the shoulder

Hate tickets. Not a fan of ticket writers. Legal system sucks. Someone going to say don't do the crime etc,etc,etc. My answer to that is that someone else made it a crime I didn't and I don't agree. Legal system still sucks.Thats my opinion and all of my two cents worth.

I will agree somewhat, but laws are laws whether you agree with them or not. It's your choice on whether or not you are going to abide or not. But don't complain when you have to pay the price when you decide to break the rules.

In most cases, this dude abides. I don't need any more trouble.

 

Makes me glad I live in Texas, the only tickets I've gotten were legit speeders.
