Looks like you were lucky you didn't get a ticket for pipes too...

 

They're called laws...not suggestions...I don't have to agree with them all, but I comply...no points on my license, and none of my hard earned $$ going to the state or anyone else...

Be a hell of aworld if you're riding down the street with the right of way and some priviledged character could just run the red light or stop sign and run over your assbecause they didn't agree with that particular law...

Last ticket I got on my bike was for the same thing. Caught in a long line of cars, stopped because there was a wreck on the highway. Well, not wanting to sit there until my bike melted, I eased on down past them, on the right side. Guess who was directing traffic, up front? Yeah, da man. Made a little pull-over-there-dirtbag motion, and I had to wait till all the forking cars had gone by, and THEN HE GAVE ME A TICKET............

 

Broke the law and you got caught. Sucks to be you.

No, it is a safety issue.

First off, passing like that is illegal.

Second, if you think the cops time, the courts times, and all the others peoples time that will be involved to process this ticket of your actually makes the government money, then you have a LOT higher opinion of how hard government workers work then I do.

Because I know they are pretty much slow, lazy workers. (Not the cop, but the others involved).

The state of California ain't making a penny on you, they are just trying to keep you and others alive.

Don't they have "Ticket Clinics", "Traffic Ticket Help Center",or places like "Ticket Doctor" in CA? For a reasonable fee, they (attorneys specializing in this) make the tickets go away, as if by magic. No points, no insurance hikes, NADA! Total dismissal. I can't believe anyone would even bother ******' with Traffic Court these days.

 

Yep...[sm=bustedsign.gif]. You can use the HOV lane for entering the freeway. You can go BETWEEN the cars to the light (I'd be careful with that though because it specifically states 1 or 2 " vehicles at a time"). You cannot go up the shoulder.

Oh and it's not just $168 if it's a moving violation you can go to traffic school for it's $168 + the fee you give them so you can take traffic school + the fee of Traffic school itself. Take the internet traffic school...it'sMUCH better then showing up for 8 hours.

I'd find a different on-ramp...maybe one with an HOV lane.[&:]
