Default Harley Davidson Boots Question

Hey Everyone!

I'm new to HDForums.com, and I just wanted to ask everyone what sort of boots/footwear they wear when they go riding. Is there a specific brand you wear, such as HD boots because you own a Harley, or do you wear other brands as well? What sorts of specs do you look for on the boots/footwear that make it the most appealing to you? I'm wondering this, as I am in the market for a pair of high performance boots, and wondered what everyone else thought I should look at? Thanks!

I used to wear combat boots, until my wife bought me a pair if HD engineers boots. I love 'em.

you better get really ready for the replies to this one.
let's see - "no gd moco boots for me, the stealer charges too much and they're made in China". "red wing, they worked for my Daddy so they'll work for me". And definitely the "don't wear no stinking boots. flip-flops are fine.
Can't wait.
By the way, I have a 5 yr. old pair of moco boots with side zippers and I'm happy with 'em, fit good, feel good; been to the prom (long dam time ago)- don't need to make a fashion statement.

I just received a pair of H-D Cross Roads II hiking boots thatI ordered over the Net. I wanted something I could wear in the warm months, walk around in and give relief to my bone spurs. They have a steel toe and reinforced leather uppers. I will be breaking them inat Daytona

I have the HD boots that lace up but also have the side zippers. They are pretty good but I had to have one of the zippers replaced already. They are very comfortable and are wearing well except for the zipper. The zippers are nice because it is faster than always lacing up and unlacing. Once you set the tightness of the boot with the laces then you get in and out of the boots with the zippers. I also have a set of steel toe Gore work boots that my sis-in-law got me for free. I wear them when it is really cold because they keep my feet a lot warmer than the HD boots.

I like my boots to fit, be made of leather, and have a sole.

Other than that, I do not care.

Currently I wear Stanley boots from Payless...$30

If you're looking at the HD boots, don't buy them at the dealer.

Check this guy out http://www.chucksbootsandleathers.com

Great service and good selection. I purchased leathers and boots from the guy.He has other brands as well with great prices. The boots will be about 50% cheaper than the HD dealer.
