Cheap Hotels, Maggie Valley, NC and Roanoke VA
I am in the process of planning a ride for June 2008. It is going to be just a few guys and I am looking for some cheap places to stay. I dont really care as long as I can shower and sleep. I have checked around online and just cant seem to agree with a $70 a night place to just sleep and shower. Any suggestions?

Thanks for that link Electarick...
If you're going to be in that area during the week, you shouldn't have a problem finding a place at or below that rate. If it's on a weekend, you might as well forget about it. Fontana Village has some good deals on rates depending what you're needing. If you're willing to share a place with the people you're riding with, you can check this place out.. They have 2 and 3 bedroom cabins that you could get to below $70.00 a night when you divide it by 3 or 4 people. (Don't know how many friends you have)

Try Martin's Hotel in Maggie Valley. A real nice ole guy has run it for 30 somethin yrs. Stayed there a couple times myself. Nothin fancy, clean rooms and very reasonable.

Hey stu07hd Some of us have rode the BRP a couple of times and we have always managed to find low cost motels off the parkway. Usually independently owned. Showers and clean beds and good people trying to make a living.

I used to live in Roanoke (and wish I still did), and its a beautiful place. Where you will be getting off the BRP will be on 220, and I think there is a Ramada Inn, I think thats the closest hotel. Just look for hotels near 220 and 419. I cannot remember many hotels, but Hotel Roanoke is historical and nice. Hope this helps...if you need more info, give me a shout

We stayed here a few years ago and found it very nice. We will stay there again when down that way.
