My '84 FXRS had 145,000 last I knew (sold it at 125,000 to a friend) and never had the cases split.
I had a fesh top end done on a still running machine at 100,000 miles.

I had an '87 Hertiage with 45,000 miles on it, a '95 Roadking with 80,000 on it, and the wife had a '97 Lowrider with 47,000 miles on it. We had no motor problems with any of them. I would never hesitate to own an EVO powered bike.

Regards,

Bill

Mine has 123k, riding buddies RK has 165k and he put 95k on the one he traded for his RK. Like most anything else, change the fluids as specified, do the routine maintenance and enjoy !

I had a 1985 FLT. It was the first year of the EVO. engine. I put 50,000 miles on it with no problems. I was very happy with that bike.

ORIGINAL: jerrybrunelle

I put 189,000 miles on a 1989 low rider that was EVO powered. Never any trouble and it ran as strong as the day I got it when I traded for my Electraglide.
I've heard the Evolution engine was the best engine that HD has produced....bullet proof.

I think other than a little down on power to the Twin cam they are great engines. Now I'm talking stock of course.
