BTW, I think it's Rotax, not Rotex. In addition to snowmobiles/etc, Rotax supplied engines for many different dirt bike companies: SWM, Can-Am, ATK, etc. My little Post-Vintage '82 Can Am 175 has a Rotax in it. It's a little buzz bomb. Very powerful for its size.

Yeah, currently in Iraq. Thanks for your kind words.
The deal's only good until I leave country, and I just don't want to feel like an *** and wish I'd taken it if I decide to wait.
The two nearest dealerships to where I'll be in OK are the one in Lawton and in Wichita Falls...I can't imagine their inventories are much different from the one you mentioned.
Bah...decisions...[>:]

I just noticed you are Army. We allappreacate all your hard work!!
I am in north Texas, only about 60 miles from OK. I can tell you here, dealers have bikes out the a$$. I was just at the dealer and they have 20-25 bobs and they put more out when one is sold. There is no shortage.Sales are slow now. That 09 deal is $1100 over msrp for a black 2008 (with out fees). I just bought a street glide and the dealer waived all fees and sold at msrp just to sell a bike.

Make the deal with AAFES for the bike and push the delivery date for a month or two after you return to the States. If you find a better deal when you get back, cancel the deal with AAFES. All money is 100% refundable. I'm in Kuwait now and that's my plan.

You know, we did get a pic or two of the Rocker a few days before the dealer show. I remember the uproar it caused and the deafening silence when Willie G rolled it out onto the stage showing that, in fact, the Rocker was a reality.
Additionally, we did see the Rocker on the CARB/EPA forms that were thrown around the forums a few months before the dealer show.

The 2009 will not have a heat issue with the rear cylinder due to the design change with the engine.Since the front cylinder never had a over heating problem the engineers have spun the engine 180 degrees so the rear cylinder will now be in the front to eliminate over heating due to the front cylinder blocking air flow to it.With this break through technology HD has avoided once again having to build wet head motors saving stockholders several Hundred Dallors in profits.
