Does anybody know who makes the Harley helmts? More specifically the Harley Davidson Scorcher modular helmet. This is the first modular helmet that I have tried on that did not rip my ears off. I was able to get it on and off without removing my glasses. However, I don't really want to pay $275.00 for a helmet that I can get for $200 or less without the harley name on the side.

Not sure about the Scorcher helmet because Harley uses their own names on their helmets. For a while they sold the HJC Symax modular helmet, so it may be that one.

 

you can buy it at a discount online HD dealer such as chicago harley. I did a quick search there and it's $220 before shipping costs. I bought a harley modular helmet which was a HJC. I went to the local dealer tried it on to get the size and looked inside it to see who makes it. I then after finding that HJC made it went online and found a helmet site that sold it for $90 less delivered than the HD helmet. HJC doesn't make all their helmets so you might go look and see or buy it for a discount online.

 

HJC makes the majority of HD helmets, all with very strong HD characteristics.

 

The Scorcher is made by KBC, If you look in the descriptions on harleys website it usually says at the end of it.

 

The modular helmets that I bought for my wife and I were both made by HJC. They've been great helmets.

 

Don't know about other helmets but my HD LE White Lightning was made by KBC.

 

I know I really like my HJC half helmet, would buy another one in a heartbeat.

I agree that HJC helmets are good, that is what my half helmet is and I only paid about $60.00 for it.

Scorcher is made by KBC I have one Non Harley and it is a good helmet. Had to buy a new face shield from harley cuz KBC dealer didn't have them. It is a way quieter helmet than the HJC modular.
