Trailer flooring options
Just picked up a 2004 Homesteader EZ Rider trailer for those extended trips. Right now, the trailer just has the treated wood flooring. I've been considering all the flooring options such as tile, diamond plate (too $$$), etc. and the one idea that I keep returning to is the spray-in bedliner material. It would provide the best seal and the textured surface would provide plenty of traction. Has anyone done this? Are there any options that I'm overlooking? Thanks!

If you want bedliner, you should consider doing it yourself with Herculiner. It is easy to do and very durable. I put it on my Jeep top and truck's nerf tubes several years ago. It held up great. You can spray it, but you can also roll it or brush it on. I rolled it on the flat parts of my Jeep top, but brushed it on the sides. It goes on smooth and leaves no brush marks. You can get a 1 gallon kit of Herculiner at Walmart for about 79 bucks. It is a little more at places like Autozone.

I dunno I think treadplate and tile would be to slick when damp/wet .
I'm not to sure a spray bedliner material over time would hold fast to a wood product
I have a enclosed 7x16 that I haul my quads in .
I painted the floor and up the sides about a footwith a good porch and floor paint( I mixed a bit of sand with it for better traction) .
Then finished up the walls with a good latex .
The floor is grey with the walls being white . It really brightens it up inside .
I think it looks pretty slick and it didn't cost much either .
Its been holding up quite well with the mud/dirt ect. a quad tracks in with it .

Do not...I REPEAT DO NOT USE TILE. If you have a gas leak or gas drips anywhere it wiil find the nearest crack or seam and soften up the glue and you will have a mess on your hands with loose tiles.

I've been thinking of doing that. About how much sand did you put in, and did you use just regular play sand???

I built a trailer and used a plastic plywood product(recycled) from Menards called HDP. It would be slippery when wet; but I'm going to put that stuff you use for camper steps where my feet go. It was $48 for a 4x8 sheet and will not rot, mildew, or crack.

RE: Trailer flooring options
dont do a spray in or roll on bedliner if the plywood floor is marine grade or treated....it will bubble up...i also own Cowtown Custom Trailers....we tryed the spray on and what a disaster.....what i settled on was 1' sq peel n stick tiles(never had one come up when you apply with 3M spray adhesive regardless of gas or oil spills)....congoleum sells em....we did all our trailers in black/white checkerboard....it was gorgeous....easy to repair as well.....on my personal bike trailer i painted the floor with black paint mixed with fine grade sand.....that was cheap and easy....been done now 4 years
