Gargoyles (Earnhardt glasses) are the best in direct wind.
It was the only set of glasses that really did the job for me, and I tried many.

I'm with Albertasaurus - I wear cheap goggles (necessary since I wear contacts) that I pick up at "events" - ie Sturgis, Myrtle Beach, Laconia, etc - for under $15 a pair. Use 'em till their ratty or scratched upand toss 'em - if I don't lose thembefore hand. I'm not much into fashion...

I've gone through the 'high end riding glasses phase', and over the years have owned and worn just about everything out there..
In many cases I've found that $100+ riding glasses don't function any better than those costing a fraction of that price, and in many cases the optical quality (crystal clear and lack of distortion) of some of the lower priced models seems much better, at least to my eyes.
One of my favorite riding glasses, which are also used by many I know, are the Pyramex Pacifica's. They are very lightweight, offer full eye protection, look good, and the hardcoated lens have excellent optics. I usually wear the Silver Mirror model (silver coating over lighter grey shade lens), and these cut out harsh glare as good as many polarized glasses I own. And they are made to last a long time.... Of course the polycarbonate lens meet ANSI Z87.1 and other safety requirements.
If you base 'quality' on price these probably won't be for you, as they only cost between $5.00 to $5.50 a pair. The 'clear lens' model, mirrored 'indoor/outdoor' model, and 'grey lens' model are even less.
The various Pyramex models are also very popular, and used by many of our troops overseas for protection.
Pyramex Pacifica Black Frame Silver Mirror Lens
[ul]Features:[*]Dual injected nylon and rubber frame provides a durable frame and cushioned brow protection.[*]Frame is vented to allow the free flow of air to prevent fogging.[*]Temples feature length and pitch adjustments for a perfect fit.[*]Flexible, soft nose piece and temple tips.[*]Lens provides 99% protection against harmful UV rays.[/ul]
Lens Color: Silver Mirror - Mirror coating over Gray lens provides additional light-reflecting properties; the mirror color has minimal impact on visibility.
Compliance: Exceeds ANSI Z87 high impact requirements.

Maui Jims/Ray Ban. I prefer quality optics, wear cheap lenses enough at work; also find I prefer the style fitted behind the ear as opposed to wraps...
Polarized is good.
