If you are worried about the heat issue and will be satisfied with the stock performance, there is an inexpensive way to make the bike run somewhat cooler (and perhaps a bit better)- Nightrider's O2 IED's which cost $79.95 (currently on sale for $10 less). They are plug and play and take less than 10 minutes to install.
I am in no way affiliated with Nightrider, just a customer. There is a post about field tests of the Nightrider O2 IED'swith over 150 replies on this form under "Electrical/Ignition/Tuner/ECM/Fuel Injection". Check it out. Several other members of this forum andIhave personally been experimenting with measuring the temperature improvements gained by using these IED's.
You can also read about the cause of the heat issueon the Nightrider website - www.nightrider.com/biketech
In fact, if you do not want to spend the money to buy them, you can make them yourself with about $10 worth of parts. The instructions are on Nightrider's website- www.nightrider.com/biketech/hd2007HD_nbo2_volt_divide.htm
