How did you select your dealer

RE: How did you select your dealer
Last bike I boughthappened when I was driving by an HD shop, decided to stop in, saw a bike I liked, bought itand rode it home 225 miles (wife drove the car home). Wasn't planning on buying a bike - it just happened.
Must be lucky as I've never have had a bad experience with a HD dealer, not that I use them much. I'm always scratching my head over all the poor experienceseveryone seems to have.

I chose the dealer that gave the most info and didn't try to pressure me to buy something I didn't want. Some of the others I spoke to wouldn't even give me a price with out seating down with the finance manager.

Good to see enough people here motivated more by how they're treated than who was $50 cheaper than the next guy. I got my bids and took 'em to the dealer I wanted to buy from. Another one's much closer, but I'm selective with whom I am going to do business with.

RE: How did you select your dealer
I was referred to a Salesperson... not the dealership.
He was top shelf. Made the deal simple and kept me relaxed.
Bob Parks... Harley of Palm Beach (Florida) Highly recommend.
(I don't give these accolades lightly... I have been an Auto Exec for 27 years and know my salespeople)

RE: How did you select your dealer
I work too much and traffic is horrid. So I rarely can get to a dealer before they close. The one I bought my bike from was open on MLK day and I had that day off. I passed at least half a dozen other dealers on the way there.

RE: How did you select your dealer
I went to all 3 dealer's in the area and told them what I wanted and what options I wanted. Went with the dealer that shot me the best price right out of the gate, even though the others then came down by over $1,000 to meet the price and then tried to throw in other stuff. I went with that dealer (HD of Omaha)because they shot straight the first time. And luckily enough, he is just up the rode from my place by a couple of miles.

RE: How did you select your dealer
How did I pick my Dealer? By doing much research, checking the place out, talking to the staff.............plus I work there, so they tend to frown on me buying my bikes from the competition. Kind of picky if you ask me
