How did you select your dealer

RE: How did you select your dealer
I chose the dealership that negotiated the best price for me. I pitted several area dealerships against each other. They all worked with me up to a point and my current dealership gave up the most.

RE: How did you select your dealer
I was driving to another dealer when I heard the one where I bought my bike advertising a sale on the radio. I decieded to check it out when I left and they matched my deal from the other dealer so I just bought there. Plus they had a bigger selection.

RE: How did you select your dealer
I have three dealers within 100 miles. Dealer 1 is 45 miles away, Will give me Wholesale for my bike, even though there is 4,000 dolllas in extras on it 2002 fatboy 21,000 miles. I am buying a Road King Classic with 2,000 in add ons. I asked for an inspection plate to be thrown in. they said they couldnt do it but would give me 10% all my accessories and they would charge me for labor. Although I felt a wicked pain in my a$$ ,I left with my dignity and went to dealer number 2 ,35 miles in other direction. He gave me 1000 more for my trade and 400.00 off new wheels and traded out white walls for black walls. 15 % off all accesseries with no labor cost. Dealer number 3.86 miles away, 500 more for my trade then dealer 2. Gave me 400 off new wheels PLUS 1000.00 in add ons,no charge for labor. also traded out my white walls for black walls. Who do you think sells more bikes?

RE: How did you select your dealer
I went to my dealer for a few reason. The dealer was about 30 minutes from the house, and a client of mine spoke very well of them. When I went in my sales guy gave me as much time as I needed to kick the tire, and ask all the stupid questions a new rider would ask. I went into this dealer during prime time on a Saturday, and the fact that he took the time with me was a big plus. I also will do all the service at this dealer as well. Another dealer had a better price, but only by 300 bucks or so. At the end of the day I just felt good about the deal. When I bought the bike the owner of the story came up to me, and thanked me as well. They also followed up with me after I left with the bike to make sure everything is going okay.

I got about 6 or 7 dealers within about 50 miles of my location. I just took a trip to each one to shop the bike I wanted. I got my best price, and then went back to my local dealer, and asked a friend if he could beat it. He not only beat it he crushed the other guys price.....plus I like the service dept at my local "home" dealer much better!
