noise laws
Here in CA I've not had an issue with this - generally if you hold it down in residential neighborhoods no one bothers me... and I run the V&H big shots with out baffles.. she's LOUD.
I'm moving to Colorado toward the middle of the year - and have been told the police there are a lot tougher on the noise laws. Has anyone had any experience with cops hassling you about your pipes?
Thanks

RE: noise laws
Lived and ridden in Colorado for the last 35 years.
Everything from a hopped up softtail with drag pipes to dirt bikes to my current ride, a 2006 FLTRI with Reinhart True Duals.
All my riding buddies have loud pipes as well.
Never known anyone to be stopped for pipes.
Granted, if you are in some of the residential areas of Denver proper, you may get someone call the cops on you, but as a general rule, Colorado is very lenient on all such ordinances. Plus no helmets required. No inspections. Etc. etc.
Don't believe everything you hear.

RE: noise laws
I live in Colorado Springs. We had a problem with the donut eaters about a year ago. Everyone finally sat down
and came to a truce. Modified, you're okay as long as you don't go out of your way to get noticed, you'll be left alone.
Straight pipes, they'll go after you. At this altitude, 6,123 feet, those straight pipes won't do you much good.
Put the baffles back in.
Welome to Colorado. The Cagers drive like idiots, but it's a kewl place to ride.

RE: noise laws
We were told at the last HOG chapter meeting that in Texas, if you have straight pipes or have removed your baffles, you won't be able to get an inspection sticker. Haven't had a problem since we run stock pipes on our bikes.
