Default Protection?

No not that, but now that I have you hear...

I have read the Wax threads but I would like to know specifically what products will actually protect your tank against spilled gas??

Plain old Turtle Wax, great shine, lasts a few washings.

Funny you should ask. I was reading a can of pure carnuba wax just last night and it claims to be the hardest wax known to man. Besides the fact that it is simply the best wax for your paint, it's all natural, if it really is the hardest wax known to man, SURELY it will stand up to a little gas!

Put on the carnuba was tonight. Might as well have painted it gloss black. Makes the satin black too shiny. Guess I need to contact Russel at Exile to see how he protects the satin black. Bet he says "Don't spill the gas on the paint nit wit".

I knew it, here is the reply from Exile...

Don't pour gas on your paint!
(If your painter did his job well, an accisental drip here and there won't hurt.........)

Cheers,
