Those old school helmets are cool. I remember my dad had a few of those style helmets...cool.

Wonder where they found the stashof old helmets? I've still got my old Bell Star, the foam is still good but the padding has disintegrated. Haven't worn it in 15 yrs, but can't just get rid of it. Lots of memories there, I'm such a F'n sentimentalist! Maybe with new padding and a flame paint job.[sm=confused06.gif]

$40 helmet + $50 paint job= $250...??
not for me!
enjoy!
Actually it's $40 helmet + $120 stripe job + new liner and padding $50 = $250.

The numbers still don't add up, but like you say "Fugit".

I still have my old helmet I used in the mid-seventies up in the closet. It looks those pictured in style, but is/was white. The lining is mostly gone. I took it out and told my wife I needed to throw it away. Looked at it for a few minutes and recalled riding my XS 650 yamaha with my buds in those days...put it back up in the closet. I'll throw it out later...maybe.

Baron.........great helmet.I've got an old '72 blue metalflake .I also bought one through Justified Defiance(no pinstripes)Great people to deal with and great helmets and parts. Those are the ONLY helmets I've ever worn or will wear.I think people have to remember that these are REAL helmets and will provide protection. They're not up to todays standards but they were DOT approved at one point. They aren't novelty helmets.
I mostly wear mine to keep my ears warm but I'm finding I'm wearing it more and more lately......I must be getting old
