For a new resident to the Granite State, (only been here a year) I haven't found a bad place to ride!!! Seems like every time you turn your head, you're looking at a post card. It's a big change coming from the flat lands of Wisconsin.

That is what is great about being here in NH even with the winter down time. Welcome to NH.

Rt 302 is awesome. Cut across Bear Notch to the Kangamangus pkwy.

The best thing is to get a good road map of NH and just pick a route. I love Rt302, 16.3, 115and Route 110 for up north. Down here 12a, 120, 5, 4a and some smaller roads.

Good Idea. I have taken a map and used a different color highlighter to mark all the great trips on this post so far. I hope by the end of the riding season I get to do all of them.

I agree that Rt 302 is awesome. Same with Bear Notch, the Kangamangus pkwy. Riding Mount Washington Autoroad on a bike is fun and scary.

Further south I would follow 1A along the ocean, only 20 miles, thenup to Lake Winnipesaukee, and all around it. North Conway is a nice place to stay.

Great Bay is also nice with some curvy roads, the main thing is stay off the boring highway. Far north, lots of Mooses and lakesin the Pittsburg area.

DD,

Try hurricane road (famous road) which is an incredible run with tons of twists and turns. Also check out Evans Notch, Dixville Notch, and RT109 up to Rangely Maine (check rte number).

You will never run out of good roads in NH!
