Does anyone use one of these Kuryakyn Hi-Five Air Cleaners? I've read stories about how they stick out too far. Is this true? Seems like a great performing AC.

 

Don't know anything about it but sure looks nice.

It does stick out quite a bit due to the spacer plate they use to accommodate the new throttle body on the 2008s.

 

But, it's not uncomfortable, just a little annoying until you get used to it.

 

It's constantly up against my right calf but I'm pretty much used to it now. It performs very well and looks great but it isn't the easiest to install.

 

The instructions aren't very clear and the chrome cover is held on with allen bolts that are attached from the rear (the ones you see on the front are just cosmetic).

 

I haven't had any trouble with mine in the rain or washing the bike.

 

Due to the openness of the housing, it does tend to get dirty fairly quickly.
