RE: Embarressing moments
About 35 years ago a riding Buddy and I went to the store for some stuff for his wife. We were riding Triumph choppers that were very nicly done. In the couple of mile ride the wind had blown up his pant leg lifting it up at high speed. When he slowed down his pant leg went right over the kick starter! On the old Triumph's the rear brake is on the left so as he slows down....in front of the local Fire Station with all the guys out front, he goes to put down his right leg. So with the pant leg over the kick starter he goes over like Artie Johnson on Laff IN!!He falls over into a privit hedge. I got hurt from laughing.[sm=laughat.gif]
Alway appreaciated electric starters after that.

I dropped this bike at the Boogie last summer but only a few of my friends saw it so it wasn't too bad. I was buzzing really decent and did a hole shot on wet grass. Not too bad.
Awhile back when my daughter was around ten and she was already as tall as she is now I took her riding on a sportbike I had and at a corner she shifted her wieght and I dropped the bike. Not too bad, went to the dealer and bought a new right side mirror.
The next day my friend came by and his wife went to ride my bike and dropped it. Not too bad. But for the second time in two days I was at the dealer buying a right side mirror. Kinda bad.

When I was in high school, there's a road that runs along the football stadium. I laid my Yamaha RD250 down in front of the entire track team... Every summer since, the skin on my left arm flakes from the old road rash.

I killed mine at the mp gate a week or so back, felt like an idiot, so far that's the worse but in the back of my mind i keep hearing "there are only 2 kinds of bikes, the one you dropped and the one you are going to drop."

While riding a wheelie in 6th gear on my YZ125C in 1978 I flipped over backwards in front of a large crowd..........after landing on the side of my head I immediately jumped up, restarted the bike and rode off like nothing happened.......I had to turn the handlebars 45-degrees to the right to go in a straight line!

The first week I owned mine I tipped it over at a red light. The road had an incline and when my left foot dropped from the floorboard it never found any ground. It just eased to the ground. You never seen a big white boy move so fast in your life to push this big hog up. Of course I was helped with a barrage of honks and whistles.[sm=headbang.gif]

I once tried to start the bike in first gear. It took an embarrasing lurch forward

Back in 89 riding a 88 Ninja 600. Lived in an old house that had 2 concrete strips instead of a solid driveway. Backed it out of the separate garage and went to turn it around, got hung up between the strips as I had the fork turned and she fell away from me. Bent the right brake peddle, dinged the right handbar end weight and put a 1" gouge in the right fairing. No one saw me since I was still in my back yard, but I must have cussed a blue streak in my helmet all the way to work.
