Embarressing moments

RE: Embarressing moments
Three times when I was 13 on a dirt bike making jumps infront of my friends.
1. Hit the jump and went straight up about 20 feet into the air. I hit the ground first and my bike landed on top of me. Didn't break anything but knocked the air out of me. I cried in front of all those kids.[:@]
2. Hit a different jump (later on that year) and once again straight up into the air. In front of those same friends. This time the bike didn't land on me but knocked the air out of me again. I couldn't breath for quite awhile. [:@]
3. Hit a ramp (wooden) and landed on top of a skateboard with the back wheel. Landed less then perfect and slid face first into a curb. broke bones this time. Cried in front of friends.[:@]
Mind to tell you at that point I gave up jumping dirt bikes.

I love re-hashing this story, hope it makes ya laff.
Starting bike on a cold morn, in p/l of apt. Uncovered it, hopped on, fired it up, turn h-bars, (forgot about loggin chain running through wheel/frame) lost balance..eased bike to ground as weight shift was too much to compensate for, shut it off, adrenalin and I picked it up, got off took off chain, started it back up..
Whole time their was a little cutie warming up her car and evidently watchin, she rolls down her glass and says.."Do you have to do that every morning to get it started"...ha ha har de har har[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]

RE: Embarressing moments
pulled in to a local gas station/biscuit joint on my way to work one morning, height of hunting season, with probably 30 pickup truck loads of beagles. making my right turn to stop and park, and one truck load of about 12 beagles starts howling at me. I turned to look at them in the middle of my turn and the right hand grabbed the brake. I went over like a sack of potatoes being dropped off a truck, jumped up, grabbed my suzuki c50t by the handle bar and uprighted the booger, hoping no one besides the dogs were looking. yessir, adrenaline pumping, jerked that bike right up. straightened out my footpeg and kicked my floorboard back into place and away I went into the dark.

Cheyenne Crossing. Crowd of 100+ in front of the store and restaurant. Getting in line for the gas pump, put my foot down on the gravel and it kept moving away from the bike, too late.
Oh did they laugh. I was pizzed at myself. One guy comes up and says they were taking bets on who and when because it had happened 3 times before I got there .... [:'(]

OK,
I had a MZ660 Baghira (just google it). I like to chase my Catahoula (dog)(google that too)around in the yard and down the road through the woods. It is really fun if you ever chased a dog on a motorcycle. Well Any-ways I had just installed a new set of PIAA driving lights on the front fender. I was pinned in 2nd gear chasing dog, I had just pulled a wheelie up and the dog put his but on the ground and slid to a stop. I am Both brakes slammed trying to stop. Dog cuts left I come off of the brakes Instant high side slid about 5 feet face firstin the grass. Got up andDog Wife and cats are all standing there laughing at me. I did manage to salvage1 driving light. It was funny to me a week later the bike caught on fire while I was trying to start it. Come to find out when I crashed I knocked the battery loose and it grounded out a little I guess.

Well, I've done it with witnesses, and without....
With witness was.......well, I was a new rider, I'd been riding just over a week I guess on a Softail Standard..
Pull into a gas station, and all the pumps were busy...I pull off to the side and wait...
The crowd thins out, and I start making a hard left turn to head to a pump, and a big azzed SUV barrels right in front of me..
I hit the front brake, and over I (well, the bike anyway) went!

RE: Embarressing moments
I was in Vegas in the summer of 2000. A group of 20 of us that all owned Harleys had rented somethere fora couple days while we were in town playing. Myself and one of my best friends were the first two riders leading the group. Pulled up to a stop light and how in the heck I never saw it I have no clue. I had stopped right smack dab in the middle of a HUGE oil spill. Probably from a dumped bottom end on a car engine. Well, well. The light turns green and I punch it and the flipping bike comes right out from under me I jump off and it slids 6' down the road. I try to run after it and dang if I didn't now have oil all over the bottom of my boots so I also hit the deck. ALL in front of not only 19 of my closest friends but also on the LV STRIP with another 30,000 folks watching. Talk about wanted to crawl under a frikkin rock! LOL
